Why do many people compare Taylor Swift to Dolly Parton? I can't see any similarities at all?

Taylor Swift is pop. Dolly Parton is country. They should NEVER be compared. That is like comparing Michael Jackson to Justin Bieber or The Jonas Brothers to The Beatles.
