Do you think that media truly sways people's' perceptions of beauty?

the media does lead people to believe that most people in the public eye are beautiful even though they know that these people are all made up with hair and makeup that take sometimes 2 hours to apply before they are camera ready. If you notice stars are never on tv without makeup if they were you would not know who they were.
