Finding housing istance fast?!?

I'm a single mom and to make ends meet i need to find an apt that rents out for 30% of my income. it's just myself and my daughter....the housing list is to long is there a way to speed it up or to find apartments that offer 30% rent. I need a small town outside of minneapolis since i work in minneapolis.
