Scenes from Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein where you feel sorrow or tenderness for the monster?

Well the obvious ones are: in the original when the monster is playing with the young child pulling petals off of flowers and they have a quiet interlude because he is so childlike when the world is not bothering him, and in the Bride, he is in love with the bride, but when she is reanimated and when she sees him for the first time she is horrified and gives out that great shriek, the look on his face says it all.
